Special Spotlight: Rick Famuyiwa, Our Family Wedding

Hi Nollywood lovers.  Congrats this is our 100th post
We hope you have enjoyed your stay so far and continue to enjoy our reviwes.

If you don’t know Rick Famuyiwa by now you should know him by his movies
Do you remember movies like The Wood & Brown Sugar? If you don’t then you haven’t watched enough TBS and/or BET movie repeats.
They are only some of the best black oriented movies ever. Smart, intelligent , funny, sensual, loving.

This is the level that Nollywood/Gollywood/Sollywood/ etc need to obtain.
Our own talented directors, writers, and producers have set the bar, in Hollywood It is up to us to reach it.
So lets stop all of this infighting and make AFRICAN movies a force to be reckoned with. Unite my talented brothers and sisters and lets move from the third spot in the worldwide movie market and claim our place at #1.

Our family Wedding

Starring: Forest Whitaker as Brad Boyd, America Ferrera As Lucia Ramirez, Carlos Mencia as Miguel Ramierz, Regina King as Angela, Lance Gross as Marcus Boyd and Diana Maria Riva as Sonia Ramierz

Written/Directed: Rick Famuyiwa
Genre: Romantic Comedy

Overall: "Our marriage, their wedding." It's lesson number one for any newly engaged couple, and Lucia and Marcus are no exception. In Our Family Wedding, they learn the hard way that the path to saying "I do" can be rife with familial strife.

My rating is: 90%
Should you watch it: YES YES YES

Performance of the Actors: This movie is funny everyone is great in it well directed, written, produced, and edited. I love me some Charlie Murphy. And who knew Forest Whitker could be so damn sexy?
